Whenever I'm using filtering of VPN on my ps5 I can't join games on BF6. The game matchmakers, I start the joining animation but never actually join the lobby and get out back to the main menu after a few minutes.

Have tried the device both as a console and a PC and various filtering combos. Any ideas?

Get a game no bother with filtering disabled mate yeah! Been playing a fair bit.

It's odd too as the rest of my party will join the game but I'll be left on the home page in a frozen joining animation until it stops.

It's as if finding a lobby outside my filtering zone, putting me in it anyway and then the filter blocks my joining if that makes sense.

It does kind of make sense, you're making an encrypted tunnel between you and the VPN server so we're not really able to read the traffic to filter it as it goes through the VPN. I think you'll need to use one or the other.

But with the VPN off and solely filtering this happens mate.

It happens with any combination apart from simply not using anything on the OS.

Oh I see, do you experience the same playing solo? It sounds like the game prioritizes getting people into a match even if that means splitting a party, in which case there isn't anything we can really do about that unfortunately. Presumably you have got a couple of servers included within your radius?

Yeah, exactly the same issue solo, the joining animation starts and then the animation freezes (game still running) and puts me back to the menu having to click to find game again.

Also yeah, have tried filtering to different areas etc.

When it kicks you back to the menu are you noticing anything blocked outside your radius? Someone else mentioned this as well and that might be the way it works as in they only try to connect you to the server when it loads up in which case that's the only point at which we can block it

I'm actually not weirdly. I only see the authentication server on the West Coast of the US and a few UK ones (my party ones if I'm in a group).

If this is what it's doing is there no way to actually fix it?

yes, it tries to connect to server that appears to be in Oklahoma. (visually) but that could be lack of updates on netduma end from you guys....
Cant even use the geo filter at all for bf6 on xbox series x.
The ping heatmap doesnt work for any game forever now either.

It would be nice if you at least updated those things on older routers, even though there wont be any more firmware updates.
