Colmer Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Hi Guys, I switched from BT to Vodafone and since then I haven't been able to get my connection working again via PPPoE. Before using BT i'd just put in my Username and password but Vodafone have provided me a username, password and VLAN which I have input with and without the VLAN but no luck to get any sort of connection using both. I have tried using Vodafones router and my DrayTek Vigor130 as the modem but neither have worked and both had LAN working. Thanks in advance! George
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 28 Administrators Posted August 28 Just to double check, regardless of whether you're using the R3, you can't get a connection through the ISP provided router or another modem? If so you'd be better off contacting them about the issue
Colmer Posted August 28 Author Posted August 28 No I get the connection to the ISP Router and modem but can’t get anything through to the R3 from either of them.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 28 Administrators Posted August 28 If you're connecting the R3 to the Vodafone router you wouldn't need the PPPoE/VLAN details to be entered into the R3, if you remove them then reboot the R3 you should get a connection that way. Through the Vigor the R3 should handle those details, in which case reboot the Vigor, wait 2 minutes then reboot the R3, wait 4 minutes and check again. Prior to all that though first make sure you're on the latest version, not sure which version you're on currently but there was an issue early on with VLAN that was resolved in a later firmware. https://forum.netduma.com/topic/58012-new-r3-firmware-dumaos-40540
Yoda Posted August 28 Posted August 28 What VLAN ID have you popped into the VLAN section? Assuming City Fibre via Vodafone? It can take a bit of time for the connection to take to the details when entered into the R3.
Colmer Posted September 1 Author Posted September 1 Thanks for the above guys, I couldn't get the vigor working so I just plugged it into the Vodafone router and that worked. Out of curiosity, what should I be putting in the service box? I'm using an openreach line and my VLAN ID is 901. My Netduma version is v4.0.290. Thanks George

You can leave that blank unless they've given you something to enter there
