Euph Posted Thursday at 03:33 AM Posted Thursday at 03:33 AM Hello, hope everyone is having a good day. I have a netduma xr1000 v1 and I have really bad hitreg and bufferbloat. Every game I play, shoot first die first. Put a thousand shots into someone just to get one tapped. I've been trying to fix this issue for some time and just cannot fix it no matter what I do. For reference, I have Verizon Gigabit Connection (About 800 mbps Up and Down Speed) Fiber Optic and Ethernet to my PC and I average about 6ms ping. I've done everything possible, change QoS to fix bufferbloat optimize settings nothing works. I will link a Bufferbloat test that I got an A on somehow, my Upload bufferbloat hit about 200 ms. It's super random, sometimes I will get an A score, sometimes B other times C. I've done everything possible, factory reset router like 10 times, checked from other devices, reset ONT you name it I've done it. Played with QoS which makes literally no difference in bufferbloat and hitreg. Stuck and need help. PS- Connection quality on wifi is also really bad at times. Don't know what is up but need help. Any admins seeing this, would really appreciate to be added to newest DumaOS beta for Xr1000 v1 software, just hoping something changes because its really disappointing. Connection quality is inconsistent, bad hitreg, bad wifi, menu takes a decade to load and sometimes doesnt update, geofilter doesnt work, traffic prioritization doesnt work, port forwarding doesnt work. Everything I've bought this router for doesn't work. Please help thanks https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat?test-id=81a01520-543f-4499-a98f-bf70844af0eb
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Thursday at 02:34 PM Administrators Posted Thursday at 02:34 PM What is the model of the modem/router the RXR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the XR? Have you entered your paid for speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? How have you setup the Geo-Filter? Are you using PPPoE/IPv6 or VLAN? Are you seeing a high ping with the hit reg issue? Where are you seeing the 6ms ping, in game or on the Geo-Filter? I've added you to the beta but there are upgrade troubles so I wouldn't rely on that
Euph Posted Thursday at 09:48 PM Author Posted Thursday at 09:48 PM I have fiber optic so don't think I have one its just ONT and a plug in black verizon that runs it. All devices are connected to XR and only it Yes speedtested and it was accurate so its been added. Yes, I've tried everything with congestion control. I did autoset up, tried 100 percent working my way down 10 percent. No matter what my congestion control is on, still bad bufferbloat and hitreg I have really low ping in all games less then 30ms max for the most part. I've tried geofilter with Battlefield 6 and it wasn't working so I'm not sure if Geofilter even works for me. Nope Nope, any ping bad hitreg. Could be 4 ping(literally) up to 100ms same problem. Ookla, other speed tests and connection benchmark in DumaOs(its lower then 6ms in DumaOs if anything) I've tried everything possible still doesn't work
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Thursday at 10:15 PM Administrators Posted Thursday at 10:15 PM Most of the time hit registration isn't related to your ping necessarily but to how busy the server is which can then increase the processing delay for you. With BF6 you're likely to see that during the beta just with how many people are playing it and slamming the servers. Though in most cases the best thing to do is to try to force a different server even if it is slightly further away, it may have a higher ping but may be more stable. Follow this guide https://support.netduma.com/frequently-asked-questions/legacyfaqs/test-your-ping/ while downloading & start with 95% for Congestion Control (set to Always), check results, decrease by 10%, check, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good & then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value & you may have a better experience with differing values.
Euph Posted Thursday at 11:14 PM Author Posted Thursday at 11:14 PM I don't have hitreg issues in Battlefield 6 only, it's every single game I play. It's just Battlefield 6 where the geofilter isn't working. I already tried playing around with Congestion control, still doesn't help with high bufferbloat. I don't know what to do.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Friday at 02:28 PM Administrators Posted Friday at 02:28 PM I know, I'm just saying that would explain the BF6 hit reg. For the Geo-Filter: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client It should work better then. Do follow the guide to optimize Congestion Control, it is much better than an online bufferbloat test, once you get good results using the guide provided you don't need to worry about the online tests as bufferbloat will not be an issue.
Euph Posted 19 hours ago Author Posted 19 hours ago Did it now it works for Bf6 thank you. However still trying to fix bad hit reg
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted 18 hours ago Administrators Posted 18 hours ago Glad to hear that, have you followed the guide?
