john33 Posted August 12 Author Posted August 12 Yes, I tried. In short, I'll attach a screenshot of the problem again. The device has no faults and everything is fine. I'll attach the problem and how I can overcome it. Have you ever had similar problems, my friend? What should I do? Is everything finished? Do you read everything I write? I know I'm not good at English, but I try to explain to you over and over again that there are no problems, any problems, except for the fixed IP list. The device doesn't receive an IP unless I manually set it. It becomes online and appears white but in a fake way. It is not actually connected.
john33 Posted August 14 Author Posted August 14 My friend, if you mean making the IP automatic, this will not work because it takes zeros.
john33 Posted August 14 Author Posted August 14 My friend, Fraser, why did you stop responding to me when you confirmed the problem was on your end? What should I do now? Aren't you qualified to use this faulty device?

What should I do now? Aren't you qualified to use this faulty device? I didn't confirm it was a problem on our end, I said it could be faulty hardware which just being the software partner of NTGR we wouldn't be able to do anything about. I do understand the problem, the only potential causes are: Faulty ethernet cable connecting the XR to the modem Ethernet cable not plugged into the correct ports (should be XR internet/WAN port to modem LAN port) Faulty LAN port on modem Faulty WAN port on XR Static being selected on XR for Internet Setup instead of automatic DHCP being disabled on the modem All of which I feel we have covered except maybe DHCP having been disabled on the modem. I think the last attempt should be double check everything is plugged in correctly and everything I've mentioned is set correctly and then lastly if needed to factory reset your modem, wait a few minutes, factory reset the XR, wait 4 minutes then complete the setup wizard and see if you get internet. If it's not working after that then it's likely faulty ports and not something we can help with
john33 Posted Thursday at 03:40 PM Author Posted Thursday at 03:40 PM Good stuff. My comment is that I checked that the ports on the modem are intact and connected properly. The Ethernet cable is intact. My choice of fixed mode instead of automatic? I didn't do that. When performing a factory reset, you are given three options, and I chose the first, which is automatic setup. The XR software doesn't accept the correct settings. So it's a technical issue with the device, not my side. Is there a solution from K, such as an update?
john33 Posted Thursday at 03:43 PM Author Posted Thursday at 03:43 PM As for the modem, it is completely fine. I did a factory reset and tried with two modems instead of one, but it did not work with the XR.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Thursday at 04:24 PM Administrators Posted Thursday at 04:24 PM Just because the ports are intact doesn't mean they can't be faulty. As I've mentioned, those are the only causes, there is nothing else that could cause that to happen. The XR is not picking up connection information from the modem, this could be the XR or the modems fault. If you've checked with another modem then it will be the internet port on the XR that is faulty. There is nothing that can be done via software to fix it if that is the case.
john33 Posted Thursday at 04:47 PM Author Posted Thursday at 04:47 PM In this case, do I have the legal right to replace it?
john33 Posted Thursday at 04:48 PM Author Posted Thursday at 04:48 PM Or should I take the device for maintenance?

I don't know, I would reach out to your place of purchase for more information or contact Netgear support directly. I don't think they would do any maintenance though, it would be a replacement if they were to do something
