fiji Posted Thursday at 12:50 AM Posted Thursday at 12:50 AM I was in the process of setting up a Assetto Corsa server for me and my friend but I'm running into issues when trying to port forward. I'm entering the correct ports and selecting the correct device, I've allowed the ports in windows firewall, Tried setting static ip in windows and for my computer in lan setup. Something to add It worked fine before I switched services, I recently got fiber and the service came with some Calix gigaspire modem/router, I tried looking for bridge mode either I'm blind or it just isn't there, I also tried adding the xr1000 to the DMZ still didn't work. What in the world is going on?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted Thursday at 02:10 PM Administrators Posted Thursday at 02:10 PM The WAN IP from the System Information page should be the IP you put in the ISP modem. You should then also set that IP as static/reserved on the ISP modem for the XR. Otherwise after a reboot the IP could change and the DMZ will then not apply. You'll have to ensure this is correct otherwise it's very likely any port forwarding etc to get the server working will not work. Once confirmed use a online port checker to verify whether the ports you've opened are actually opened.
