I have the NETGEAR XR500 Gaming Router and it's been a hit or miss at times, but recently I have been noticing some issues with my upload speeds. I would stream to Twitch with a decent 10mbps upload that supported the 2500 bitrate, and I tried streaming to YouTube only to find out some issues with bandwith being inconsistent. I checked OBS and saw my bitrate started fluctuating between 2000 to 1000 and mostly to 200 or 900. I check Ookla's speed test and saw that I have a slightly slower upload, but not too bad since it was at a decent 7-9 upload speed. Downloads are still around 400 which is good since I am paying for 400mbps. However, with netduma os I saw that I am not getting the expected speeds. Tried checking for a firmware update, but there aren't any available at the moment. Not sure if the Router is starting to fail or isn't compatible with current speeds. I have the QoS completely disabled, so I can get my full speeds. However, that hasn't improved my speeds.

You can ignore the speed test on the router, if the router was limiting your speeds then you wouldn't be able to get higher upload on Ookla. 

Having QoS completely disabled however is likely responsible for the fluctuating bitrate issue you're experiencing. I know you don't have much upload to play with so try it on 90% for example and see if you notice any improvements - do also lower download to 70%.

tried the setting as suggested, but the bitrate doesn't seem stable since OBS is recommending me to go with 1397 bitrate at Output (Scaled) Resolution of 640x360 instead of the 2500 bitrate at 1280x720. My PC and Internet last week was able to support 720 at 60FPS on the bitrate of 2500 no problem. Also, the 90% decreased my Upload to 2mbps so I might need to call my ISP to see if there are any issues.

Disable Traffic Prioritization on the QoS page, that could be interfering with it. You're right on the cusp on what is needed for streaming so it's always going to be a bit of a struggle/balancing act trying to get it stable.

What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

Are ALL devices connected to the XR?
