Traffic Prioritization help for cs2

Recommended Posts

When I set  in traffic prioritization target for cs2 it doesn't work and my cs2 doesn't work better. I have consistent 0,4-0,8% packet loss spikes during game. I think I have tried every setup to remove these spikes, but nothing is working. Are there any specific settings for cs2 to work better?

What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

Are ALL devices connected to the XR?

What are the speeds you pay for/receive?

Have you entered those speeds into the router?

How have you setup Congestion Control?

How is the PC connected, via ethernet or WiFi?

Are you using the Geo-Filter?

The XR is not connected to any modem. I have all my devices connected to the XR, and the internet speeds  I have about a download of 700 Mbps and upload of about 60 Mbps. I have these speeds in the router. Also turned on or off congestion control doesn't help when playing and I don't feel any difference. Pc is connected via ethernet. I tried using geofilter but I don't know if it helps with connections when playing cs2 on faceit servers.

Does geofilter work for cs2? Because i don't see any difference with this option enabled or disabled

So it's connected to an ONT/an ethernet port in the wall then? The Geo-Filter does but it wouldn't help for Faceit. You should definitely use Congestion Control, it will help even if you don't directly notice it. Do you get packet loss just on faceit servers, ranked servers or normal servers or all? Have you tried bypassing the XR to see if you get the same issue?

Yes, it's connected to an ONT. I have packet loss on every server. I didn't try bypassing the XR yet. And with the Congestion Control on how many % i should give? If i click auto-setup it stays on 100%

Don't do auto setup, 100% is essentially off so try 70% for download & upload and see how you get on. If it continues then bypass the XR and see if the same happens, if it does then its either the servers or wiring to the home/ISP side
