Netduma R2 Keeps Factory Resetting on its Own

Recommended Posts

The past couple weeks have been very inconsistent with internet connection. Had to reset router multiple times a week. Now the past couple days, the router appears to be factory resetting itself on its own. Today the WIFI network was gone and all devices were disconnected from internet. Had to sign into DumaOS and re-setup the entire network, like I was setting it up for the first time. Had to do this 3 times now in the past week. Any suggestions?

Current Firmware is:

R2 3.3.280

Sounds like it is losing power, make your settings changes then reboot from the interface, this will act as a hard save and hopefully prevent it happening again.

Do you have it connected to a power extender or direct to an outlet? If an extender please try direct to an outlet. Otherwise do you have another power adapter you could try with?

Connected directly to the power outlet in the wall, don't think it is a power issue. Happening on a daily basis now, internet will lose connection, wifi network no longer showing, and have to logon to DumaOS and reset my entire network. Any other ideas what is going on?

I typically run the speed test and ping optimizer when I set it up, but just skipped it this time, because I needed to log back into work. Yea the interface I have bookmarked, lost the internet, had to unplug the router and restart it, that is when the network disappeared, had to reset it all up again through the interface.

Don't use the bookmark to access it, you may have inadvertently bookmarked the setup URL which could explain why you think it's resetting frequently. Use http://192.168.77.1 directly instead. What is the model of the modem/router the R2 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R2? E.g R2 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

In DHCP Settings on the router set static/reserved IP addresses for devices and also extend the DHCP lease time and see if that improves it.
