Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 18 Administrators Posted April 18 Do this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Also disable Geo-Latency and set Ping Assist to 0. Have the Geo-Filter enabled before you start the game/game client, if you make any changes to the Geo-Filter when on the game then restart the game otherwise it will not adhere to your new changes. Does HybridVPN show the VPN as connected? How are you determining the VPN isn't working?
BiTTrigger Posted April 20 Author Posted April 20 Hello ! This is already your answer (copy paste) you did to many of those isses ! 1/ I already did it, by the way, I've only mly own PC on the network (and not a PS4)... I can see on Geao filter, it try to connect on US (ie) but it failed all the time. A "authoriszed" all the server I found, same... Some time it can run for 10mn... and finally, I'm back in France. Are you sure that "strict mode" is really working ? Regards
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 20 Administrators Posted April 20 I know it's a PC not a console - have you followed the steps to change the device type to a PlayStation? Can you provide a screenshot of the Geo-Filter page showing the device added and another screenshot of the Geo-Filter settings menu please?
BiTTrigger Posted April 20 Author Posted April 20 Hello ! There is one screenshot above, see it, it's curious ! With NoLag I was connected to Hawaii and then, Duma successed to fin a server in South Africa ! LOL... Anyway, this evening I was very often connect to Nord Europe, and this is what I want (With no VPN) OK, I will send you SS tomorrow morning of my current conf (Quit standard BTW). I'm very curious to undertand the different fonction ... I'm a CTO ! 😉 PS : Why do you want me to change my device type from PC to Play Station ?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 20 Administrators Posted April 20 The screenshot above doesn't show anything I asked for unfortunately. Changing the Device Type in this situation will allow you to filter correctly.
BiTTrigger Posted April 22 Author Posted April 22 I don't know how to "Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager" Can you help ?
BiTTrigger Posted April 22 Author Posted April 22 If needed here is a SS of my Geo-Filter parameter :
Krush Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Tu dois aller dans le gestionnaire de périphérique… pour modifier le PC en PS! et suivre les étapes « copier coller ».

Go to the Device Manager Click your PC Click the Pencil in the panel that has opened on the right Click the 1st controller icon on the second row then click save Also you need to disable Geo-Latency to prevent servers being allowed outside your radius/zones Krush 1

BiTTrigger Posted April 26 Author Posted April 26 OK, I see. Let's try to see if GeoFilter is Better.

BiTTrigger Posted April 30 Author Posted April 30 Hello, Yes, it's better, but it's not working each time, isn't it ? Thanks,
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 1 Administrators Posted May 1 As in you can't use the Geo-Filter and the VPN for every game? If so do you still see icons on the map that entire time, the game just doesn't let you into a match?
BiTTrigger Posted June 3 Author Posted June 3 Dear Administator, In real, I do not understand anything to your Hybrid VPN ! A VPN is just a "an IP" you pass thru ! Most of the time, it's a server, somewhere. Each request go thru this one. This mean that on Internet Side, this become to be more complex to know who is a the very inital client. So, what is "Hybrid VPN" ? I just have to put username and password... Can you explain more please ? Regards, François MARC
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 3 Administrators Posted June 3 HybridVPN is a VPN client (software you use to connect to a VPN server), usually a VPN client can only be installed on a PC and would then apply to the entire PC. So being on a router you can apply it to any device on your network. The Hybrid aspect is that instead of it just applying to the device as a whole you can specify services/ports specifically that you want to run through the VPN. For example, you want to use a VPN to watch Netflix shows that are available in the US but you like gaming at the same time. Normally you'd have to apply the VPN to your whole device and therefore your gaming would suffer. With HybridVPN you can apply the VPN just to Netflix, that means that gaming goes through your normal connection and is unaffected by it. BiTTrigger 1
BiTTrigger Posted June 4 Author Posted June 4 OK, I better understand ! It's like a VPN Client, but directly on a router. So each equipement connect on the routeur, can be "VNPized" Correct ?

BiTTrigger Posted June 7 Author Posted June 7 OK, so when you have "COD Specialized VPN like NoLag" this is impossible to use it there ? This VPN, do NOT VPNized every ports, just some ports used during Match Making... BTW they just share "private" OVPN file, no direct User / Login... Correct ? Is it usefull to use a VPN with a Geofilter ?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 7 Administrators Posted June 7 Whatever VPN you use they have to provide you with an OpenVPN or Wireguard configuration file in order for you to use it with the router. You can specify what you want the VPN to apply to yes. It's not very useful no and may not work correctly.
