SHIZZLE303
My R2 is using the latest firmware and DumaOS. Ever since I've been able to use DumaOS, my router has disconnected randomly. Is there a fix for this? I've attached my logs. R2_2025-04-16T17_33_11.293Z_logs.txt.crdownload
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 17 Administrators Share Posted April 17 What firmware are you on currently? Are you using HybridVPN at all? It looks like your public IP changed which may be the cause here. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode
SHIZZLE303
I’m using my ISP’s modem and have my R2 connected to it. The R2 seems to be the only connection to disconnect randomly. I am not using HybridVPN. The firmware I’m using is v4.0.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 17 Administrators Share Posted April 17 Set the R2 IP on the ISP modem as static, then put that in the ISP modem DMZ and see if it still occurs please.
SHIZZLE303
I was able to set a reserved IP for the R2 thats connect to my ISP's modem. I will updated if any other problems come up.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 13 Administrators Share Posted May 13 Set devices connected to the router as static/reserved in Setting > DHCP and see if that helps. There is also the potential it is running out of memory, are you doing lots of bandwidth intensive tasks e.g. downloading heavily most of the day? What settings have you changed from the defaults? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 15 Administrators Share Posted May 15 That sounds fine, try the reserved IPs and see if that works better
edgarisdrunk
Figured I would add to this thread instead of start a new one, as I have had the same issue recently; WiFi drops (for some reason, I will lose the 5ghz connection but not the 2.5ghz connection my door camera is on), DNS errors, and DumaOS interface crashing sometimes. I just turned on my work MacBook and immediately my phone, on the 5ghz connection, lost internet. It did not lose wireless connection to the router, but it did lose internet connection. I disconnected my phone from the wifi, and noticed my MacBook was taking much longer to load DropBox and Gmail. I attempted to load DumaOS via Chrome, and it loaded, but then crashed, and took about 5 mins to get back up. My current modem setup is ATT BGW210-700 with its wifi disabled, firewall disabled, with "passthrough" for the Netduma R2 mac address (there is no bridge mode on this modem/router). The R2 is on 3.3.280 firmware, has DNS set to Google DNS (ATT modem does not allow me to alter its DNS, so I have DNS Override on the R2), separate 2.5 and 5ghz wireless connections, and has 11-13 devices on the network, but not at the same time. I have QoS enabled with bandwidth allocated per device. When I have issues, rebooting the router resolves it. Only problem is when I have a Teams meeting or I am online gaming. Sharing this here to help you guys. I will update with another log when I encounter a DNS error or wireless dropping completely. Let me know if this is helpful. log-1747362605448.txt
