R3 DDoS Protection

Hi all, 

Apologies in advance for my lack of knowledge on the following topic, but I was wondering what I can do with the R3 in terms of DDoS protection. A really big issue in COD right now is booting, whereby kids on ps5 can take your IP both through PlayStation parties and the game itself. I know one method to stop this would be use a vpn on the router, but the only problem with this is it gives you a significantly higher ping. I know I made a similar post a few months ago, but I was wondering if there’s anything else I can do with the R3 to stop this? Is there anyway to change my public Ip? Is there anyway to divert the external traffic? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

The only way is with using a VPN, it doesn't stop you getting booted from the game, you just won't be offline as long. To counteract the increased ping select the closest possible VPN server to you, it doesn't need to be one far away.
