pyan14 Posted February 22 Posted February 22 I have had a problem since day one of receiving my R3 router. My router is an R3 v4.0.540. When i connect my PS5 using wifi to the router, i can access the PSN Network and play multiplayer games like normal, but when i connect it using cable, I can’t connect to the PSN network or playing online games. If I bypass the Netduma router, i can play as usual with LAN cable connected. Please help me.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 23 Administrators Posted February 23 Check with another ethernet cable, also into a different port on the R3, can it connect then?
pyan14 Posted February 23 Author Posted February 23 Already change the ethernet cable. Still failed. 2 hours ago, Netduma Fraser said: Check with another ethernet cable, also into a different port on the R3, can it connect then?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 23 Administrators Posted February 23 What about in a different port on the router?

Finally i found the problem.. when i do port forward on my old router it will block the cable connection from the R3 but not on wifi connection. I also don’t understand what’s happening but for the mean time i just leave it be. Btw, where should i do the DMZ, on the R3 router or my old router?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 24 Administrators Posted February 24 Good job! You should put the R3 WAN IP in the DMZ on your ISP modem/router. You can if you wish then put the PS5 in the DMZ on the R3. pyan14 1
pyan14 Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 Help…it happened again. It seems like the LAN ports have a problem. The upload data can’t go through to the Speedtest server. The download speed varies—sometimes it’s okay, and sometimes it’s not. I’ve tried using multiple wired cables, but the download speed remains inconsistent, and there is no upload. No issue when connected through wifi.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 7 Administrators Posted March 7 Could you provide a screenshot of the WAN & LAN Settings pages please?
pyan14 Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 As requested. Fyi, sometimes it’s difficult to enter the dumaos web using wired cable but easily login when using wifi. Attached is the picture based on wifi
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 7 Administrators Posted March 7 All looks fine there, can you provide a screenshot of Ping Optimizer > Advanced please?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 8 Administrators Posted March 8 That all looks fine, are you directly connected via ethernet or going through a switch/extender for example?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 9 Administrators Posted March 9 Did you put the R3 in the DMZ on the AR2140?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 10 Administrators Posted March 10 Do that and then try again please

Right now can’t even login into dumaos using network cables only wifi is ok. The attached picture is the notification I received if login through cable. Yeah i tried using several cables already.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 10 Administrators Posted March 10 What happens when you click continue anyway?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 10 Administrators Posted March 10 If you click the recovery options button on that page it should give you the option to get the logs, if you could do that please
pyan14 Posted March 11 Author Posted March 11 I tried several times to get back to the recovery options page, but i couldn’t. Can i just upload the normal logs?

Attached is the picture of the speedtest using the wired and the built-in speedtest. I tried numerous wired cables and the latest one I bought a new external LAN port to confirm it. Can I get a replacement for the R3?
Krush Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Hi! It's due to the USB/RJ45 dongle. The white one is probably defective. Does your ZenBook support USB 3?
