Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6 Administrators Share Posted February 6 Where are you checking the NAT status exactly? If you disable the Geo-Filter then reboot your gaming device then check the NAT does it show open? Muzzman

PharmDawgg
I play on pc - battlenet. I could never get upnp to work but I was able to portforwarding to work. But of course, my setup is probably different. Muzzman

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6 Administrators Share Posted February 6 Have you checked whether you get an Open NAT directly connected to the new smart hub? Muzzman
Muzzman
So do you mean taking the Ethernet out the Netduma R3 and placing it directly into the EE router, how would i then be able to access Duma os So i took the ethernet out from the netduma and placed it into the ee router, can no longer access duma os as i have the wifi off and only use ethernet ? same nat type moderate with EE router? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6 Administrators Share Posted February 6 No your gaming device connected directly to the EE router either via ethernet or WiFi Muzzman
Muzzman
like i said im using a pc only with x box games pass !! that is my gaming device !! Ethernet is always plugged into netduma and always had open nat before new router. Ive tried plugging it into the ee router as you said and i get the same moderate nat type. That's what I was wanting to know - it's not something to do with the R3 then, you may need to contact EE to have them help you with it
Muzzman
Before I contact them and waste half a day .. do I need the upnp on or off on both routers .. also found this on searching the net .. enclosed picture .. what ports would you suggest opening on the eve router
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6 Administrators Share Posted February 6 Remove the DMZ setting you've done on the EE router then double check first. UPnP on both routers doesn't matter that's fine. If you still get the issue then you'd port forward the ports the game uses, I've made them into 2 simple rules for you: TCP/UDP: Source (3074) - 4380 (Destination) Source (27000) - 27037 (Destination)

Muzzman
Hi Fraser, thanks for the help, i managed to get open nat by adding those to the EE router and making a static ip by going into ipconfig and using my details. Netduma Fraser
