cbntlg
The two issues may be connected, which is why I've included both in this post. So, when I'm playing BO6, several times in a game, I'll be aimed down sights and turning to track my target, and my character will just stop turning until I release the RMB. This happens at all ranges but is worse in CQC. I also get disconnected from the game, occasionally, with the PS error "<LAN cable not connected>". It reconnects within a few seconds. My set-up: M&K > XIM Matrix > Netduma R2 PS5 > Netduma R2 Netduma > Vodafone PowerHub What I've tried Reset and/or rebooted each device seperately and together several times Swapped out each Cat6 LAN cable for new ones, twice Used several different mice and mouse pads Setting up the Netduma as a switch by disabling DHCP on the Netduma, disconnecting the LAN cable from the WAN port on the Netduma and connecting it to Port 1 instead, and assigning a static IP to the XIM and the PS5. This reduced the frequency of the turning-whilst-in-ADS issue and the disconnects, but didn't cure them and, of course, stops the Netduma from accessing the internet, so I can't use the DumOS interface. I'm out of ideas now. Can anyone help?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 2 Administrators Share Posted February 2 What is the M&K? Have you tried without the XIM? What firmware version are you on? Do you get the disconnects over WiFi?
cbntlg
Mouse is Swiftpoint Z (I've tried 2 and the G502 Proteus and a G903). Keyboard is an Allreli T9+ I have tried without the XIM and I still have the same issue. I'm on the latest DumaOS4 (I installed it a few weeks ago) I don't use wifi. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 2 Administrators Share Posted February 2 How have you set the powerhub to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Could you try WiFi just to see if you get the same issue?
cbntlg
I have an R2. I don't know how to put it into modem/bridge mode. I've assigned static IP addresses to the XIM Matrix, PS5 and the MS Surface Pro 6 that I use to monitor DumaOS. All are connected to the R2 and can be seen by the PowerHub's browser-based OS. The R2 can't connect directly to the internet though, so I can't open DumaOS on my Surface Pro.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 2 Administrators Share Posted February 2 Here is a guide: https://www.vodafone.co.uk/cs/groups/public/documents/contentdocuments/vfcon090499.pdf then put the R2 WAN IP in it. What do you mean it can't connect to the internet exactly? You don't need internet to access the interface
cbntlg
I've completed the the steps you suggested and put the R2 WAN IP in it. "What do you mean it can't connect to the internet exactly? You don't need internet to access the interface" When I had the R2 as a switch, it's internet LED wasn't on and my browser link to DumaOS wouldn't connect. Now that I've set it up as you advised, the internet LED is on but I still can't access DumaOS. Neither my PS5 nor my Matrix can find an IP adress. cbntlg
Update: I factory reset mu R2 and I can now access the web and DumaOS.
cbntlg
Somebody on the XIM forums said that the PS5 is known for having slightly oversized LAN ports and suggested wedging the LAN cable. I checked, and most of the LAN connections on my devices are a bit loose. So I've wedged them with cocktail sticks, and that seems to have worked for the disconnects. 🤪 Still having the turning whilst shooting problem though. It's ruining the game! Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 3 Administrators Share Posted February 3 Good to hear, make sure you check the DMZ again, as you've reset it's likely the WAN IP has changed, that should help with the turning issue. That's super weird but makes sense why a lot of people have it, thanks for the update, I'll definitely keep it in mind! cbntlg
cbntlg
Still can't turn whilst shooting at close quarters. 😒
cbntlg
And just got disconnected with the <LAN cable not connected> error, again. 😒 I'm wondering if it's just Activi$ion's poor netcode? But if so, this would be a common problem, but I haven't found anybody else on the web complaining about it?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 3 Administrators Share Posted February 3 Can you provide a video of this turning issue? It's not really a networking issue for us I don't think, no reason network wise why that would be worse. The LAN cable issue is a common one for the PS consoles, never heard of this turning one though
cbntlg
Here's a video of the issue. I'm trying to turn whilst shooting. I can strafe, but I can't turn.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6 Administrators Share Posted February 6 The ping and packet loss doesn't change whatsoever so I can't see it being a specific network issue as there is no change in the stats. I don't know if this applies as I've not used XIM so not sure how it differs but I've found a few suggestions: Somehow the aiming input changed from controller to mouse. Reset the setting and it was fine. If you have two devices e.g. headphones, controller etc operating on the same wireless frequency they can interact with each other Apparently if you have Discord linked to the console it can cause it - disconnect it then restart the console

I really appreciate your help with this. It would be fantastic if I could find a solution and play the game properly.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6 Administrators Share Posted February 6 Have you checked whether you get the same issue with the console connected direct to the powerhub?
cbntlg
I've given up now. Friday was issue-free. Sunday, the problem was back, as bad as ever. Today was bad, but only at clse range. I made no changes throughout those days. I'm pretty sure it's netcode, but I'm not interested in playing any other online fps. So I'm just going to live with it until I've done all the weapon camo challenges and then move on to some single-player PC games. STALKER 2 and Avatar:FoP look good. Thanks to everyone who tried to help.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 11 Administrators Share Posted February 11 Did you ever check direct to the powerhub though?
cbntlg
Yes, I still had the issue without the R2.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 13 Administrators Share Posted February 13 Definitely sounds like the game then or ISP hub or ISP in general potentially, thanks for the update
