JeremyL Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I am using a Chester Cheetah AX3000 modem/router and I have found that putting the 5g modem in bridge mode tells the sim that my Netduma router is a hotspot device thats connected to it. So I am wondering if I have any use for my Netduma router at this point? I'd like the gaming features of the Netduma, but I can't use it as my sole router. Maybe unless I put the 5g modem in a psuedo bridge mode (it doesn't have full bridge mode) I can put the netduma in the DMZ of the 5gmodem, connect all my devices to the netduma but I noticed odd things happen with connecting to certain websites. Gateway errors to chatgpt, slow loading for others.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 23 Administrators Posted January 23 Even if it appears as a hotspot device, as long as you have everything connected to the R3 it will work as expected. You can use DMZ as well, then try disabling the R3 Adblocker to see if it solves the loading issues.
JeremyL Posted January 23 Author Posted January 23 Yes the modem has 2 LAN ports. The reason i can't have it showing as a hotspot device is it quickly hits my "line" hotspot limit as its only 30gbs, vs unlimited
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 23 Administrators Posted January 23 Okay use the DMZ function and try without Adblocker enabled Krush 1
