Port forwarding!

Hello there, new member here - 

 

I'm trying to setup the ports for my PS Portal for remote play with the PS5.

 

I added all rules but deleted one by accident. Which was port 987.

 

Now when I try to add it back it tells me my ports overlap. They don't as far as I'm aware.

What can I do to rectify this?

Please reboot the router from the interface and then see if you can re-add the rule again

I wasn't able to reproduce the issue but delete all the rules then reboot, then add them again, does it work then?

Apologies, I was away at the weekend.

 

I've tried what you've said to no avail. Still exactly the same issue!

don't add it manually. Just add your ps5 as DMZ at port forwarding page. this will open all ports for you. i have ps5 portal and with this its working fine with me

By the way, remember to take the device out of the R3's DHCP range by defining a static IP (DHCP R3) before adding it to the R3's DMZ. 😉

Thank you. You mean have a static IP reserved before I assign it into the DMZ?

Yes, the DMZ requires having a reserved IP!

take it out of the R3 DHCP range?....you mean give your console a ip addy over 250? like 192.168.77.251? or am I reading it wrong?

Rather in the range reserved for this .2 to .99 on the R3!

@David J Hey man , i was browsing by and noticed you are having a bit of a difficult time. Good news, rather in the range of pictures and step by step instructions and color coded as this helps me especially when were just typing back and forth. Some wording by other people and their choice of explanation can be some what cunfusing . WEll here you go. Quick instructions below.

TIP - Before Starting this little guide i put together for you, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you got to the devices your want to RESERVE aka Static IP for and CONFIGURE on each device that you are wanted to RESERVE.

Example - Smart TV - Setting - Network - Custom 
Enter IP - 192.168.1.200
255.255.255.0
prefix length (24)
Router / IP - 192.168.1.1
DNS1 - 1.1.1.1
DNS2 - 1.0.0.1     
APPLY/TEST

Then immediately go to DUMA OS 
and follow these steps . Picture below for guide.

This is where the (Green and Blue ) come from :
Hope this helps , as i can understand better if i can see or visualize what people are trying to say.                                                              

Green Arrow :
Starting IP Address :  Set to - 2
ENding IP Address : Set to - 100
Apply

Blue Arrow:
Click ADD: Add your device (if not identified with name , find by the MAC number, if anything just go to device manager right quick and memorize the last to mix of numbers and letters in the last column and come back and do it again.  This way when you select , you can identify your device and add it properly.
WIll be PROMPT to give device name:

Just to add, I removed all ports and DMZs. Rebooted the router. THEN took this video

Thanks for that, is UPnP showing that port as being open at the time?

That looks fine, have you made any static routes or internet rules? Perhaps a HybridVPN rule etc?

No mate. both those sections are blank/empty.

It's somehow got itself into a weird state, I think the only thing to be done is a factory reset as there is no other way to clear it

Factory reset did solve the problem.

I even deleted 987 and re-added it. Very strange!
