NetTech
Any other R2 owners experiencing the 0% loading network error for Marvel Rivals? I have tried both version 3.3.280 and 4.0.258. The current solution for my setup is to disable QOS, and DPI on version 3.3.280.
DARKNESS
This issue is not related to the router’s firmware. However, after researching it, it appears to be a server-side problem. While using a VPN may mitigate this issue, there is no guarantee that Marvel will address it quickly or be aware of and working on a solution. You should have tested other games before even doing a downgrade, as that would have been quite obvious.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 10, 2024 Administrators Share Posted December 10, 2024 Sounds like it may not be the router exactly but we are testing the game so we'll put out any necessary changes when ready

When I disable QOS I no longer experience the 0% loading issue. I switched over to the beta OS to see if that offered any solutions. I found that the issue also occurs there with default settings. I am not as familiar with Duma OS4. I tried to disable smart boost but that was not a fix. The game is currently experiencing multiple reports of network issues but disabling QOS offers a temporary solution in my case.
NetTech
Can confirm that for my case the netduma QOS is responsible for the drops I just finished testing the game with two separate routers and did not get a single drop. Test equipment: Asus RT-N66U TP Link Deco AXE5400 More details: My ISP is Charter Spectrum. I have seen many reports of users on the following ISP having the disconnect issue. NetTech
Marvel Rivals released a patch on December 19, 2024, which included network stability improvements. Below, I'll share the patch notes related to these fixes. This update resolved the disconnection problems experienced on the R2 Netduma router with firmware version 3.3.280. Currently, my PC is set to mimic a PlayStation device in the device manager, and I'm using Quality of Service (QoS) Traffic Prioritisation while playing the game, which wasn't active before this patch. Note that the router occasionally needs to be restarted if it fails to recognize the game. "6. Network Stability: Under poor network conditions, the map loading issue has been partially resolved! We're on the case, ensuring you don't get kicked offline due to connectivity issues. (There are many reasons that could cause this situation, and we have currently fixed part of the issues. We will continue to analyze and address other potential causes in the future.)" Here are some additional settings that I have setup for Geo-Filter. Quote Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager (if on PC) Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Here are more details on the error. Quote When this error occurs, players see the game loading screen freeze at 0%, followed by disconnection from the game. This can happen intermittently, with some players experiencing it in about half of their attempts to join games. The error can result in time-out penalties or bans for prematurely leaving matches, even though it's not a deliberate action by the player.
