x42osoldi3rx
Hey hoping to shed some insight on as to whether i would gain more of the R3 options hooking it up before my RS700 Netgear router? could I get a question answered? I have the R3 and the new firmware which was just uploaded but wanted to make sure my hookup is correct. I have the nighthawk RS700 router with wifi 7 and am using that as my main w a cord going to the R3 and then my gaming rig pc hooked up from there....the question is would it be better for the whole network if I ran the netdumos first with wifi disabled then to the Netgear? I luv the features of the R3 like ping opt and geofilter so thats awesome and my connection to COD has been better then ever since getting this R3 its the oither devices in the house that are haviing/lacking connection buges and issues Thanks
kevo
I would run the r3 in front and use the other one in ap mode for WiFi that’s how I got my setup r3 with my xr500 behind it in ap mode because the wifi is better x42osoldi3rx
x42osoldi3rx
Thank you- I will give it a go right now it works great just hooked up to my gaming rig but the internet thru the rest of the house is patchy with it in front and the r3 wifi turned off. Assuming that enabling the rs700 as an AP doesnt kill the wifi6 or compromise any of the other features within the rs700 correct? Large home with lots of electronics and smart hubs/wifi lights etc bit of a self taught NERD here prob comes from my mechanic background.... thanks again for the response

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 3 Administrators Share Posted December 3 I concur, doing the above gives you the best of both worlds, the features of the R3 + WiFi 7 from the RS700 x42osoldi3rx
