Wazz72
HI I've been using the Xr500 for a couple of years without to many issues. I upgraded to the Netduma r3 about 3 months ago, and have had nothing but issues throughout my entire network. I run LInux machines, which seem to loose their DNS settings when connected to the r3, even when they are pointed directly to googles DNS servers. Streaming on Youtube and Netfix is constantly buffering when connected to the r3, along with long pauses when browsing the web. Its got so bad recently that I have swapped back to the xr500, as soon as the hardware is replaced all the above issues disappear. Both the Netgear Xr500 and the Netduma r3 are configured with the latest firmware and are setup using the same settings. The ISP network speed is 900/900 mbps. Any Idea why the r3 seems to have so many issues?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 28 Administrators Share Posted November 28 What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the R3? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? How have you setup SmartBOOST? Disable Adblock, that may resolve some of the issues. I've also given you Early Access to try the latest firmware https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/
Wazz72
Thanks Fraser, I'll put it back on, upgrade the firmware and check the settings. I put the XR500 back on as it seemed to be far more stable. I also posted a question in another users post about a replacement antennae for the r3, do you know where I can source one. Thanks for your help. Warren.
