Michu89
Hi, who can tell me what is the IP adres to this server? Its very important to check it in pingplotter
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 13 Administrators Share Posted September 13 Most game servers will not respond to traditional pings so it is likely it will timeout on PingPlotter, we also don't give out any IP addresses
Michu89
How i can check why i see on net duma 9 ms but in Game on this server i have 90 ms?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 13 Administrators Share Posted September 13 It's very likely because of that reason, we can't ping it properly so we've done a trace and 9ms was the last response received - if you check on the server when connected it should show you the ping method - direct or traced - I suspect it will show traced. If you see that discrepancy again check the ping method, I bet it'll be traced every time.

Is it some big secret, some secret society? Why can't we see IP Addresses? It's okay for them to see our IP address, isn't it? There should be a Function on R3 that shows all ip addresses where and when it was connected. All Game servers, etc.Server load, etc. Example: Something similar to what Proton VPN has. Every time you look at the servers, it shows the current load in percentage. 60%,70%30% etc. I still don't understand why the IP addresses of the MW3 servers are being hidden, so please explain to me. thanks

Also showing IP addresses also allows for people to see individual peoples IP addresses which is a security issue. That would be the server load to the Proton VPN servers which they control, we have no way of knowing what the server load is on game servers we don't control because we don't know the capacity, don't know how many people are connected to that server etc. It would be really cool if it was possible. Thanks for the answer. 🙋🏻♂️ What is necessary and what should I tell my ISP for better routing to gaming servers? Is something like that even possible and can my ISP do something about it so that I have a better online experience? If I gave them several IP addresses from the gaming server, would the ISP be able to do something? Tnx 🍀

Tnx 🍀 They could do something potentially but I don't think I've seen anyone successfully had them do it. Reason is that it's not a required change, if for example you were a professional gamer they *might* do something but only because it is vital to your business but even then I think you'd need to have a business internet account for them to really take it seriously. From what I've seen, those with particularly bad routing do have good success with something like ExitLag which is essentially a VPN but it just uses it to route you better to a gaming server. Does ExitLag even work for PlayStation? Or does it have to be PC? Thanks
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 14 Administrators Share Posted September 14 Only PC I think but you'd need to double check, if it is you could technically bridge the connection so the PS gets the internet from the PC that way, maybe that would work

Maybe it would work, but I'm not sure. I think it's all connected to the PC and that it can't be shared. I need to try. I checked and unfortunately it is only available for PC and Mobile devices. They do not provide service for Consoles.

It's only available for PC yes but technically it would then apply to the console because it's getting its internet from the PC - technically it should, of course in practice it may not. There are a couple other services like that such as WTFast, have a look around, maybe one has a trial Zli

They have an option in their system where a subscription is made and only one device can use WTF, such as Playstation. Will there be something like that for Netduma R3?WTFast support for R3? Tnx It's been requested before but I couldn't say for sure if that would come in future or not. I suspect he thought you meant just connecting the two together - you have to bridge the internet connection like this: https://bestpclab.com/how-to-bridge-ps4-to-pc/

But I think that the app must be installed on the device from which you go online. I don't think the Bridge helps anything here. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 15 Administrators Share Posted September 15 I'm not sure if they'd have even tested that to be honest, would probably be best to go with one that offers a trial and check

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 15 Administrators Share Posted September 15 That's a shame, I still don't see a reason why it wouldn't work, you can accept that or try it really and see. WTFast have a trial for 3 days for example so perhaps worth a try.
