BSilverthorn
I deleted a device that died from the router, I am now guessing it had QOS on it. I am recieving Device not found when I cloick on QOS. Is there any way to fix this besides a factory reset? It seems to never populate the screen allowing me to remove the device that is not found? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 9 Administrators Share Posted September 9 Other than a factory reset you would need to connect the device back to the router in the same method, give it the same name/device type and the error would disappear. If the device is died then you'll have to do a reset instead. BSilverthorn
BSilverthorn
Is there anyway to see what the device name was in the logs? Im not sure what died or whats missing? Any bread crumbs?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 14 Administrators Share Posted October 14 It might mention it by MAC address but you'd then need to try and match it to one of your devices - however, if you have rebooted the log won't show anything and also given the length of time between the start of the post and now, even if you didn't reboot that information wouldn't be available anymore so the best recourse is a factory reset now. BSilverthorn
I did a factory reset after after the post and that fixed it. but its back again, so I am trying to not go through PITA again to just fix this issue and reset the router up. I did restore the last backup, but that does not seem to affect the QOS as the error still pops up. I dont see a way to remove items from QOS, if I want delete or retire an network device either. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 14 Administrators Share Posted October 14 You would need to take a backup from when you don't have the issue, otherwise doing a reset and then restoring a config from when you had the problem could just add it back. If you want to delete a device from the Device Manager just make sure it hasn't been added to Traffic Prioritization, if it has then delete it there first then delete it from the Device Manager. FrankM530
Next time this happens instead of a factory reset download dumaos to your phone and delete the device threw the app and it will fix that issue for you . Netduma Fraser
