Yeah that's the issue, it shouldn't be, that's what I'm trying to figure out. Are you using a VPN? Have you made an Internet Rule to allow all traffic to the device?

it has always said unknown for as long as i can remember it .

Resync the cloud on the Device Manager and Geo-Filter pages, then reboot the router from the interface, wait 4 minutes then connect and play, does it appear then? If not, do you have any issues with Adblocker, Geo-Filter or Speed Test/Ping Optimizer working?

Still coming up as unknown.after i did as you said.  The only problem i have is speed test never reaches what i pay for but if i use an outside test it does.

I always thought  unknown was for console gaming.

In some cases maybe, but not even showing on the device view after being added is very odd. They're 100% connected directly to the router, not through another router, AP, switch, extender etc? What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

netgear cm1100 r3 into that and all devices into the r3. No dmz no bridge mode no vpn

At this stage I think a factory reset would be best if you could do so from the interface please and check the behavior after that.

I did and it's the same.I factory reset from the back not the interface.

Ah, did you disable DPI in Settings by any chance?

Well if it can't detect it then it won't be prioritizing, do you see servers on the Geo-Filter Map with the device added.
