Dev777
I followed all the steps to set up my R3. Set up the geofilter, ping optimiser , smart boost, everything. It worked great for an hour and now I can’t log in to the app. It keeps showing unknown error occurred. tried multiple times, so I reset the router and did the whole setup again. And every time it happens, my internet speed drops from 1000mbps to 50 mbps. how do I fix this? the first setup everything worked well. Stable ping. After resetting , multiple ping spikes from 18 to 150ms. Never had pings like this with my old router It always starts when it shows trying to connect to the router
Fuzy
Hi! It seems that this is just an SSID problem. The test on the R3 is direct from your ISP (RJ45 "cable") The test on your mobile is behind the Wifi : There are 2 wifi bands on the R3 2.4 and 5Ghz. The first is more stable but limited in bandwidth The second will allow you more flow! My iPhone 12 is limited to 500/500 Mbps max in Wifi ax, the best way to do a test is to use a wired PC or MAC! Hi. That wasn’t the issue. Reading on other post on the forum, I think it’s fixed for now. Downloaded and upgraded to latest firmware. Did a factory reset, and applied my settings back. Only thing it wasn’t detecting my console after updating, but once I assigned an IP to my console, that fixed that. fingers crossed and hope no other issues. The first few games I connected, it showed some graph with the ping stabiliser. Past few games, gameplay is still smooth, but no data as in the first and second image. When I’m not in game, it still stuck on waiting for host. connection wise, everything working fine. Server connected to shows Pontian( no server there) and not Singapore
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 22 Administrators Share Posted August 22 That can't happen, it's not always able to ping every server - I suspect it's because the ping method for those servers there at least is traced, if it says direct I suspect you'll see a ping. Dev777
I’m in a PlayStation Party with my mates. Today when one was sharing their screen, I was experiencing bad lag watching it. We’re in the same country, but every time I connect to his screen, it shows as Oklahoma. I tried putting into denied server, but then I can’t watch his screen. already reboot the router. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 25 Administrators Share Posted August 25 I suspect you're making a direct connection to them in which case the details are unlikely to be correct (this could be abused if they were), looks like you've added it to your allow list which is good. In this scenario it'll be SmartBOOST/Congestion Control that will help the most, how do you have them set?
Dev777
Today everything I play online has been super laggy. Speed test on DumaOs completely wrong. Keeps disconnecting me from online games. It’s very frustrating. Prev speed test done gave almost the correct speeds. Today it’s ranging from 60+ to 120 plus for download speeds. I have nothing running in the background. Dev777
Speed test on DumaOs vs on Speedtest App
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 8 Administrators Share Posted September 8 The speedtest on the router can vary depending on where the closest server is to you, it won't have as many as speedtest.net for example - it doesn't mean it's limiting you, just enter in the speeds you pay for/receive manually. If you reboot does it become more stable? What game are you playing?

Now it’s back to normal. I was playing Black Ops 6. Weird thing is, before resetting, I kept getting packet loss and ping spikes. The same with EAFC, ping spikes and packet loss and disconnects from games. Even general web surfing and watching videos everything was loading up very slow. After factory reset, it’s working superb. I did not disturb any setting since initially setting up the router. Im wondering why does this happen.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 9 Administrators Share Posted September 9 Ah that's great to hear it's working better now. If you haven't factory reset after any updates so far that might be why, it's not necessary like we used to advise but it can help remove any remnants from previous versions. I think I did do a factory reset after my initial setup. I’ll just monitor it for now. Thanks Netduma Fraser
