Simon Thomas
Is it normal for the R3 to use so much internet? I have only done no more than 1 hour of CoD MW3 gaming (107.9MB) today.
Alias 1aB
if you ran multiple speed tests, then you will have data usage. I figured it out months ago wondering the same thing you just did. Those speeds tests use quite a bit of data surprisingly. So do the buffer bloat tests. games really dont use that much data. Only downloading them does. Simon Thomas
Ok thanks for that Alias. But to be honest I didn't do any speed tests or bufferbloat tests. Not sure exactly whats going on
Fuzy
Hi! To be confirmed because I use a switch, but I would say that it is the Lan to Lan activity. Transfers locally via the integrated R3 switch. Your devices exchange data between them without you knowing it. For example, you can take Windows updates, a PC will download them and transfer them locally to the other machine! Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 13 Administrators Share Posted August 13 Good responses above, also the router will download cloud updates periodically which can contribute as well as if you did an update from the router interface itself.
