Router internet use

Recommended Posts

if you ran multiple speed tests, then you will have data usage. I figured it out months ago wondering the same thing you just did. Those speeds tests use quite a bit of data surprisingly. So do the buffer bloat tests.  games really dont use that much data. Only downloading them does.

Hi!

To be confirmed because I use a switch, but I would say that it is the Lan to Lan activity.

Transfers locally via the integrated R3 switch. Your devices exchange data between them without you knowing it.

For example, you can take Windows updates, a PC will download them and transfer them locally to the other machine!

Good responses above, also the router will download cloud updates periodically which can contribute as well as if you did an update from the router interface itself.
