Gunganator
My ISP provided Hub recently died so had to jump onto the R2 only. My ISP speed is 900/125 Firmware ver Wired connection Cat 6 for Both and tested on a RJ45 Advanced cable tester for continuity and shorts, still replaced with another set of two tested cables and issues persists. Not getting the expected 900/125 Speedtest result Enabled Traffic rules Speedtest result with traffic rules Network settings Connected to IP'S ONT via PPPoE options There I think I have covered everything you might ask me to check please advise how to get the 900 instead of the 450 I am currently seeing on a port claiming to be 1Gbps. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 2 Administrators Share Posted August 2 You don't need those traffic rules. By the looks of it you've told the router your bandwidth speeds are 419/102 - change it to what you expect in the Congestion Control menu and see if you get better results then. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 2 Administrators Share Posted August 2 Don't worry about the internal test, it's not always going to be accurate. You said your ISP hub died so what's the setup now specifically? I've given you Early Access to try that firmware: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access/ Gunganator
Gunganator
R2 is plugged directing into the ONT via the WAN and my PPPoE details added to the WAN network settings.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 2 Administrators Share Posted August 2 Ah okay, I think it'll be due to using PPPoE and that'll be the max you can achieve while having the R2 handle it. Gunganator
Gunganator
well poo, better than no network at whilst I await the new hub. BTW on a side note does the new R3 fix the overheating issue that caused wifi and what not to become unstable on the R2? I fix my R2 by adding a small platform under it with a 5v USB fan stopped falling over all the time, hence why I haven't needed to post here for years. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 2 Administrators Share Posted August 2 I've not encountered anyone mentioning the R3 overheating thus far and given we're in the height of summer I'd take that as a good sign! Gunganator
