R3 connection issues - help please

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

First of all, I love the R3 capability and interface, for gaming it's been amazing, much more stable and consistent experience for me. My plans are just to buy a switch and add a couple of access points, otherwise I'm a content subject to the main issue below being sorted.

My primary issue is that the connection randomly drops out, I'd say this happens once a day (based on my partner's feedback). It's only fixed by restarting the router. I've have just had an outage and attached the logs. Please help :).

Secondly - minor thing but the add blocker caused really slow speeds for loading websites, so much so that I had to disable it. Any fix?

Are you on the latest firmware here: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/56107-new-r3-firmware-40236/

Were you doing a big download at the time when it happened?

If the website has a lot of ads or trackers then in theory it could slow down the loading if Adblocker is blocking them all. You could add any particular websites to the whitelist so they'll work as normal while Adblocker is still enabled.

Hi Fraser. Thanks for the reply.

No, I'm on 4.0.219, I'll update to see if that helps.

No big downloads at the time, couple of kids who will have been streaming something now it's school holidays, but my partner says it's been happening frequently when it's just her working from home.

Adblocker basically stopped it loading, I should have been more specific. Plus it was the same on all websites, Google included. Works fine with it off though, and wasn't always a problem.

Thank you

Thanks for that, I can't reproduce it with that website on the latest firmware, it loads instantly for me with Adblocker enabled - have you tried it on the new firmware?

Not yet, I'll test things over the next couple of days and let you know if I run into any issues. I'll record the details and post them here. Thanks

Thanks for that, this is something the devs are actively looking into, I've given you Early Access so you can see and respond to this topic which is actively monitored by the devs https://forum.netduma.com/topic/56332-r3-disconnections/ if you feel you're able to help or even just to keep up to date on what is happening.
