kaptakiller
Good evening i got my brand new netduma r3 today and i have literally read through the forum, updated to the latest firmware and done everything it was suggested as per settings and everything regardless where i put my filter on my servers are always in the UK or France just like normal, I honestly cannot select any server I want or set my location somewhere else like (Geo fence from sbmmb off for example), i blocked more than 50 servers and makes no difference at all , the blocking works it does not connect to that server but the ping search and the area where it will eventually get me a lobby its always the same, i want to get american lobbies or asian lobbies whenever i want even playing on high ping but i cannot do it so i really wanted to if this is possible with the router or not, because if the only thing good about it is to block servers then this is pointless for me The only i get the lobbies in the Area i want is to go on my Sbmm off go to the geo fence option set Us east coast for example and then when i get into lobbies i block the servers from that region on the router, but i cannot get those lobbies just with the router on its own and i bought it thinking i could If any developer could clarify that or explain to me if there is away to do what i want i would much appreciated
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 15 Administrators Share Posted July 15 The purpose of the router is not to circumvent SBMM or force far away servers, it's to get close servers and a lower ping so it may not always work. However, to force servers you need to do the following: Disable GeoLatency Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0) Enable Strict Mode Disable Fast Search Use Simple instead of Custom radius Then restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game). If that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and it should work then.
kaptakiller
I appreciate your reply but no offence mate but thats the same copy paste from 10 different post already, and i have done them, it just dont work, could provide a video tutorial of this actually working because i understand you saying about the ping and all that but only thing it really does is filter servers around your own location nothing else that geo filter being there or not makes no difference i put it in iceland Australia japan it doesn't matter i will search pings in UK France and sometimes Netherlands but rarely thats it, so if there is actually away to change my geo location or to actually force me on the exact lobbies i want please show me in a video or something that i can follow because none of steps you mentioned and other steps on other posts work at all
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 15 Administrators Share Posted July 15 That is how to do it, there isn't anything else to show in a video, can you provide a screenshot of what you're seeing when you get a game outside your radius please? DARKNESS
@kaptakillerWhat your looking for is the ability to change regions and use the geofilter capabilities...well the only way to do that is to use HVPN and add your VPN to it and select the region you want. You can't change your geo location without it that's why you never find lobbies as the console/game recognizes your location and it trying to put you on the nearest server etc. You can follow the link below same steps just different UI tweaked a bit with more advanced features https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVmBA5a0qqk
kaptakiller
Thank you for the information, i will test with the hybrid VPN and see how that works regarding the selection of servers and see if that helps me achieve what im looking for
