I see it is mentioned that a new firmware is sent to NETGEAR according to the firmware status page. Can we know what changes can we expect from the upcoming update?

Will it fix the QOS for upload doesn't work, PPPoE issues for XR1000?

It'll be 3.3 so it'll bring it in line with the XR450/500/700, that'll be the last of the feature updates and after that there will be bug fix updates every so often. I know work has been done in that area, I don't have a full change log yet of what is included so I can't say for certain at this stage.

It's been awhile for this update honestly, I couldn't provide an ETA really but it shouldn't be much longer

btw, if we would look into investing another DUMA OS router, which one should we look into for longevity and best hardware ? Could you recommend?

I'd go with the R3 personally, it's direct from us so faster updates and it has DumaOS 4 which the XR range won't get

@Netduma Fraserso the xr1000 won’t be getting a beta. it will straight up be full release on day one? (Of course whenever netgear decides to release it)

It'll probably still go to beta - we just need to wait for them to test it and add in any changes they wish to make
