Kahari
For some reason, I’m no longer getting my typical download speeds. (940 down 42 up) I disabled QOS, updated network drivers, but I’m only getting half my speeds. I contacted my service provider first and everything was good on their end. Any suggestions? Also “side question: on my XR500, is V2.3.2.134-dumaos33-rc14 the latest firmware? Or is there a different beta version or later firmware? Thanks! Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 7 Administrators Share Posted June 7 Yes that is the latest firmware. Where are you measuring the speeds, on the router or via speedtest.net for example? What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g. XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the XR?
Kahari
The modem is Netgear Cm2000v. It’s just connected to my PC through Ethernet. So I should be getting my normal speeds.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 7 Administrators Share Posted June 7 Where are you measuring the speeds exactly? How do you have Congestion Control set?
Kahari
I’m running Xfinity speed test as well as Ookla speed test. Not sure about congestion control set. How can I check that?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 7 Administrators Share Posted June 7 That's on the QoS page right at the top, also have you entered your expected bandwidth speeds on the router?
Kahari
I tried the methods and my speeds are still being throttled. As an update, since I first tried these methods, I also found out that even when I directly hardwire into my modem, I still get the same low speeds. (But it’s only my download speeds) I’m wondering if it has something to do with my registry settings or something on my PC?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 20 Administrators Share Posted June 20 If you use another PC to connect to the modem do you get the same issue? Have you changed any network settings on the PC itself?
