DeathRoll666
Hi, after switching to the newest firmware I'm experiencing very low speeds using Wi-fi connection (2,4GHz and 5GHz). First screen shot shows 2.4 GHz , second 5GHz , thirds shows a router from my broadband provider. It's outrageous that I can have nearly full speed with Upload while Download remains very low (I pay for 900down and 100up). Before the update I was getting around 600 down and 100up using Netduma which was ok for my need, but having a quater of the speeds is not acceptable for me. I thought I'll revert the update and flashed older software but the problem remained the same. P.S - yes I've checked the WiFi channels congestion etc. Netduma used same settings and now it seems I can't have my old speeds. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 4 Administrators Share Posted June 4 Thank you for the report, would you be willing to enable remote access so the team could potentially remote in tomorrow to take a look? crunkjuice1

Yes please, but it would need to be early morning, let's say 7am - 8am UK time as I'm working nights and got to go sleep. Let me know if that would be ok. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 4 Administrators Share Posted June 4 We're based in the UK so we wouldn't be in then but if you could: Ensure the R3 is in the DMZ on your ISP modem/router or the ISP modem/router is in modem/bridge mode Disable IPv6 in WAN/LAN on the R3 Enable remote support on the R3 Post back here when you've done that The team can then remote in at any time, no need for you to be present. crunkjuice1

All done 👍🏻 I hope I've set up everything correctly

DeathRoll666
To anyone facing same issue - Set 5GHz Wi-Fi Channel Width to 80. That's what's helped me. Any other width seem not to work but just this particular one.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 6 Administrators Share Posted June 6 I'm not sure, I'll need to check - what has your speed gone up to after changing the width?

And that's upstairs. Next to the Netduma I've measured 780Mbps

DeathRoll666
Although, what I can say that doing so made the WiFi connection to be less reliable and consistent I'd say. If I'd move WiFi antenna even 5cm to each side or even somewhere else speeds would drop to around 380-400. Also noticed that CPU 3 on Netduma on any other width than 80 has very high percentage of the use (more than 70% constantly)
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 6 Administrators Share Posted June 6 That makes sense, the more interference from other devices in the area the more higher widths will suffer but they do allow for much faster speeds. CPU should be fine at that level but good to know thanks!
gangrel
Never mind. I sorted it out. Netduma Fraser
