targetless Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 I recently just setup my new netduma r3 directly connected with my modem. I then have an ethernet cable ran through my house down into my other room where I use another netgear router where all my equipment is plugged in (pc and gaming consoles). I have put my office router into bridge mode and access point, but regardless of what I do to try and figure out the layout of my router configuration I have been without use of the speed test, ping optimizer, and geo filter will not work. What am I doing wrong?

What am I doing wrong? Instead of using another router in your office, use a network switch instead. Regarding the speed test / ping not working, this fault has been posted many times already and Netduma have said it's a known issue. I find it will usually work, after a reboot
targetless Posted April 18, 2024 Author Posted April 18, 2024 Ok Ill get a network switch. But ive reset my netduma several times already and nothing seems to want to work all that well like the ping optimization, geo filter, and speed test.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 18, 2024 Administrators Posted April 18, 2024 We are aware Ping Optimizer/Speed Test isn't 100% reliable at the moment and it's something the team are working on. Those features can still work, it just may not be every time. In the meantime best to adjust Congestion Control manually in Ping Optimizer > Advanced. Have you specifically added your gaming device to the Geo-Filter? What is the issue you're having with it exactly?

I dont know if it has anything to do with my current configuration of how i have two routers in my house. The R3 is the main router and then another netgear is in access point mode but i log into the dumaos on my pc and ping optimization and speed test have never worked no matter how many times i reset my router. I have added my pc as a device for geo filter but it doesn’t consistently find cod games inside my circle. I just got an Ethernet switch and if it doesn’t fix things i might just return the R3
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 18, 2024 Administrators Posted April 18, 2024 We'll make those features more reliable but for CoD does that mean you're seeing games outside your radius? If so, Disable GeoLatency Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0) Enable Strict Mode Disable Fast Search Then restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game). If that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and it should work then.
