I've tried probably 50 to run the Ping Optimizer on my R3 that was just delivered today and it keeps failing.  Any thoughts on what might be causing it and how to fix it?  I've rebooted the router 4 times.  I've run it in my desktop that's connected via Ethernet cable and through the app on my phone.  Same result.

Sorry to say it is broken.  Also, the Speed Test in not functioning for many people as well.  Netduma is aware and working on a fix.

We are aware Ping Optimizer/Speed Test isn't 100% reliable at the moment and it's something the team are working on. Those features can still work, it just may not be every time. In the meantime best to adjust Congestion Control manually in Ping Optimizer > Advanced.
