New issue with upnp port forwarding

Recommended Posts

Over the last few days, I've been having new issues with port forwarding and upnp. I have 3074 port opened for my Xbox but it will consistently switch away to one of the 50*** ports and doesn't allow nat translation, if I turn on upnp and leave port forwarding on, it will work for one session then breaks completely until I reboot. I have another device that has also been breaking because of upnp not working. Any ideas on what would cause a sudden issue?

No modem, connected directly from ont to router

On the Xbox itself select the 3074 port in network settings

I have done this, when I do, the Xbox fails to get a teredo IP address. The only fox is to reboot the modem everytime.

If you disable the Geo-Filter, do you continue to get the port issue? Unfortunately the logs won't have anything in them after a reboot. It is on the bug list so we'll get that sorted.

It seems like it would be a wise decision to implement/backup logs after reboot at this point. So many of these issues everyone experience either reboot or lock out the admin portal until a reboot thus leaving no record of what caused it.

I will try disabling it, but with geofilter being disabled I have a $200 router that barely functions as a router?

Well I can confirm that removing the Xbox from Geo-filter, manually selecting another port, then going back to automatic reverts it back to 3074, and then shows open nat type with no issues.

So at this point I just want to make sure I understand, because its starting to feel like paid beta. Which I might have been okay with, if I knew it from the beginning.

The routers main features and selling points:

Geo-filter: Needs to be disabled to have Xbox function, when enabled doesn't show proper servers that game is connecting to, or doesn't properly filter out locations, or is connecting outside of parameters that are set.

steady ping (currently not functioning properly, recommended to be disabled, and needs to be constantly disabled due to turning back on)

smart boost(also causing issues and has been recommended to be disabled)

hybrid VPN (not available at the moment)

ping optimizer (sometimes works)

The standard features:

IPv6 currently having issues, recommended to be disabled

Wifi experiencing speed issues

Wired experiencing speed issues

UPnP currently experiencing issues/conflicting with geofilter

Port forwarding currently experiencing issues/conflicting with geofilter

That was just a check thanks, re-enable it and resync the cloud please. There will be a server being blocked most likely but I believe we added it in an update.
