High ping

Why is it after playin 2 games of COD my ping shoots up to 80-100ms with host being in the same city as me?!! Super annoying feel like I wasted money buying this router

It called routing pal if your ISP gives you a bad route then your out of luck except if your on a pc you can force route by using programs like exit lag/WT Fast etc. Alternatively you can use a vpn though it not available on the R3 at the moment and it might not take the quickest route either so it a gamble.

Could you provide the ID of the server when you see that happen please and the city you're in? Then I can check whether it may be a mislocated server

Another server I’d was 1LE6ABJ this one was Texas

First one is Chicago so that is correct, the ping you got, was that on the Geo-Filter and in game? 

Second one does look like Texas

This is a known COD bug.. I think it has something to do with nerfing you as a player for performing too good for your recent games. I get this as well on netduma and other routers. I think COD adds artificial latency to your on purpose to make your perform worse

First I've heard of the above though could be it. However, were there any other devices using the internet at the time when the ping went up? Maybe someone started streaming or downloading for example
