Gskillz
If you are having issues with R3, here are the steps I have taken with some improvements, but we will have to wait for the updates, for the R3 to show me I don't' have to do these steps every other day. 1.Do speed test on R3 side menu, after you get your speed result save it, make sure you press the "update network speed" button to save it. 2. Do "Ping Optimizer" after the R3 finds your best ping press the "Optimize Now" button to save it., after you have done these 2 steps, do a bufferbloast test from waveform, google it...you should now get an A or A+ (I do this everyday to ensure I have a A+ why everyday, because your network speeds can change everyday, depending how many people in your house are on the network and watching porn). This should resolve your bloat issues. If you can't do a speed test or ping test on your R3...sorry buddy you have to do a factory reset on your R3. If you still can't do a speed test or ping test, you probably are connected to a router and need to go into that primary routers settings and set a DMZ for your router or you could put your primary router in bridge mode, in some cases you will lose access, as in you won't be able to log into your routers page after you put your primary router in bridge mode. 3. After you have done steps 1 and 2, next step is to go into "Ping Heatmap" then go to choose a game and pick the game you play. You will see all the servers for the game you play, take a mental note of the server that is closest and shows the lowest number ping in your area ( I play call of duty and saw a server with a ping of 16 ) 4. Go to Geofiler ( DO NOT HAVE YOUR PS5, PS4, Xbox on or PC- don't have the game open) Click on "Add Device" look for your gaming system... note if you have never connected your R3 to the router you will not see your system, make your sure you have at least connected the R3 to your system at least once so you could see your systems name when you click add device. Next click on Steady ping, I disable it, I think it works, but I like to disable it to get the lowest ping when I play. This works for me because my internet is reliable, for those that have bad internet, keep "Steady Ping" on. 5. In Geofilter set your home, click on the little house icon on the right button, then click any where on the map to set your home. a circle radius will pop up on the map with your home location in the middle. Remember that mental note I mention before, this is where you remember the location of the lowest ping server, make sure the server is within that radius. If you want to use expert mode in geofilter, draw a box around the server- the servers do not show themselves in geofilter that is why you have guess and remember where the server was, when you looked it up on the ping heat map. Turn on your system and enjoy. On Call of duty if you have moderate showing and not open, you have to open up the ports on your R#, I set the PS5 in DMZ with it's own IP, this is what worked for me, if after doing this it still shows moderate, you have to set the primary router in DMZ for the R3 ( I just use the R3, no primary, but some might be forced to use a internet provided router) After all this I have great games. Trouble shooting on some issues with the R3 A) When the next day comes if I'm having issues, I reboot the R3, and it works fine. B ) If I'm playing a game and the filter picks a server outside my radius circle, I turn off my Game console, then delete my console from the geofilter, go on the top right(3 dots) then press Resync Cloud, then add back my Game console. After that turn on your gaming console and you should be good. It might also take up to ten minutes to connect to a game because you are limiting your self to one server, if you want add more servers to your geofilter, look at ping heat map again to see the next lowest ping server and add that to your geofilter. If this does not work sorry buddy you have to do a master reset. In a perfect world I wouldn't have to do this 2 to 5 times a week, but appreciate the R3 and will wait for the update...Hope this helps everyone. Note: if you join a party in call of duty you won't be able to connect with them unless they are within your radius on the geofilter. This is where I enable steady ping mode and uncheck strict in the geofilter settings. Then you should be fine to play with friends, or you could expand your radius to make it bigger to include your friends, if you want to keep it on strict mode, on the Geofilter map if you are in a party, a white circle will show, these are your friends. On expert mode in geofiler you could draw a square around them.
