Then I was prioritizing cod at the highest level above for me specifically since that’s what I mainly play. Then just for the heck of it put my pc in there as top priority. 

Would having it like that not prioritize my pc and cod over my sons pc and wife’s PlayStation when they are also playing games? 

Exactly as above, so if you've prioritized yourself as number one for example yours will be prioritized first and then everything else after. No need to prioritize CoD specifically as well as then your PC. It shouldn't cause any negative affects no but its just making more unnecessary work for the router.
