Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6 Administrators Share Posted February 6 It won't actually reflect your ping in game, it's just the ping to an authentication server, do you have good ping in game?
jame0174
I do but when i shoot first and die first is when i check. What will make it go up like it has never been like that.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6 Administrators Share Posted February 6 Likely the Geo-Filter blocking a server, causing it to use one further away but it won't impact your game ping. What is the average ping you're seeing on the Geo-Filter?
jame0174
between 40 and 50 and the latency changes along with packet loss on the xbox test. The reason i asked is because i never had that high of latency with the same settings .When checked on my other routers my latency was always the same at 56. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6 Administrators Share Posted February 6 Okay that's good, if that ping was a factor you'd have a much higher ping in game. Is the ping you're seeing on the Geo-Filter good/average for you generally?
jame0174
ping in game is good but when i see problem's like shoot first die first i check my xbox network and notice it was high. But other than that no issues.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6 Administrators Share Posted February 6 Does the ping fluctuate at all? Try disabling Steady Ping. Also try servers slightly further away, just in case they are more stable
