jame0174 Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 when doing a network test on xbox my latency is 98. Witch i have never had before pluc i have packet loss. With all my other routers my latency was in 40 to low 50.Who do i get it back.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6, 2024 Administrators Posted February 6, 2024 It won't actually reflect your ping in game, it's just the ping to an authentication server, do you have good ping in game?
jame0174 Posted February 6, 2024 Author Posted February 6, 2024 I do but when i shoot first and die first is when i check. What will make it go up like it has never been like that.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6, 2024 Administrators Posted February 6, 2024 Likely the Geo-Filter blocking a server, causing it to use one further away but it won't impact your game ping. What is the average ping you're seeing on the Geo-Filter?
jame0174 Posted February 6, 2024 Author Posted February 6, 2024 between 40 and 50 and the latency changes along with packet loss on the xbox test. The reason i asked is because i never had that high of latency with the same settings .When checked on my other routers my latency was always the same at 56.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6, 2024 Administrators Posted February 6, 2024 Okay that's good, if that ping was a factor you'd have a much higher ping in game. Is the ping you're seeing on the Geo-Filter good/average for you generally?
jame0174 Posted February 6, 2024 Author Posted February 6, 2024 ping in game is good but when i see problem's like shoot first die first i check my xbox network and notice it was high. But other than that no issues.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6, 2024 Administrators Posted February 6, 2024 Does the ping fluctuate at all? Try disabling Steady Ping. Also try servers slightly further away, just in case they are more stable
