Nest camera XR1000 won't connect

For some reason I can't figure out how to get my Nest cameras to connect to my Nighthawk xr1000 router but they'll work for my Orbee I'm trying to cut down the using the orbi router but I can't get the security cameras to to connect on the xr1000 Wi-Fi anybody have any suggestions?

Have you separated the bands 2.4 and 5 GHz you can do that in the wireless settings turn that smart connect off I’m guessing your security cameras only used 2.4ghz ?

Some smart devices specifically do not like WiFi that changes bands automatically, as above disable Smart Connect and then see if they can connect to 2.4 or 5GHz

@Reykc9510If that doesn't work use wpa the quickest method to get them connected though I would guess that it the cameras having issues accepting the password as I have had a printer that does not connect unless it a simple password and using wpa bypasses the issue.
