Comp0za
I'm using Xr500 router and is there a way to make my nat typ to strict only?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 19 Administrators Share Posted January 19 Not specifically as it's the opposite of what people would generally want. You could try disabling UPnP/Port Forwarding/DMZ/Set NAT to Secured in WAN Settings but that's about it for settings on the XR. Introducing another router in front of the XR would help. Comp0za
I don't have another router, it just I play co op alot and I don't like to be the host, exposing my location.
DARKNESS
@Comp0zaIf I were you I wouldn't do so as your location is still going to be exposed by the server regardless of course that varies by game and the downside is that it slows your connection to the server since it has to go through a wall etc. Comp0za
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 20 Administrators Share Posted January 20 As above, if someone uses tools to be able to see your IP address your NAT type won't matter. IP databases are never super accurate, checking my own IP address location using a variety of databases it thinks I'm anywhere from 15 - 100 miles away from my actual location.
