QuitBruh
Hello, I've been having some issues with my new Netduma R3. After experiencing the Netduma R1 I was excited to try out the new R3. Thusfar, I am not pleased. I have to reset my internet almost every hour because the speeds drop. This has never been an issue for me prior to setting up the Netduma R3. I have 600mbps down and 20mbps up. Once I hooked up the netduma and ran the speed test I could only get 400-500mbps down and 15-20mbps up. I didn't mind the download speed drop but the upload was a little concerning. Anyways, so I configured the Netduma R3 settings to my liking and started gaming. It ran smooth on day 1. But day two I was noticing that my bullets were not registering and I ran a speed test and was only getting 50mbps down and 5mbps up. I then rebooted my internet and everything was fine again. Today is day three and I've had to reboot my internet due to speeds dropping about every 30min. of gaming. - P.s. I preferred the R1 interface and overall functionality. I don't remember all of the different settings but I miss device prioritization for example. Anyways if I can get some help I would really appreciate it. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 7 Administrators Share Posted January 7 Device Prioritization is still there with SmartBOOST. Where are you testing the speeds exactly? What is your exact physical setup? Are ALL devices connected to the R3?
QuitBruh
I've testedy speeds both on the R3 and through speedtest.net. Setup is Modem > R3 > Devices
BOOGERWULF
I had this same issue. First, go to ping optimizer, click advanced, and make sure congestion control mode is set to Auto. What fixed my issue was going into settings, selecting WiFi, Advanced, and changing both WiFi channels (2.4/5 ghz) to manual and setting width to highest number ex. 2.4 = 40 mhz and 5 = 160 mhz. Choose a channel for each band. I would advise you use a third party app to find an unused channel for each band in your area. Best to not use a channel your neighbor is using. Reboot router and see if this works for you. FRASER, when the WiFi option is set to Auto, it sometimes seems to want to default to 20 mhz for each band which significantly reduces speed. Have not had the problem since I switched to manual mode and selected highest frequency for both bands. Just an FYI. Netduma Fraser
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 11 Administrators Share Posted January 11 If your ISP modem/router has WiFi, set it up so that it is in bridge or modem mode, you can also use the DMZ. Copy the WAN IP from the R3 (found in Settings > WAN) and enter it into the DMZ function on the ISP modem/router. Are you testing over WiFi or ethernet? If WiFi try the above please.
