Iilukas210
hi there before i start i just want to say i recently purchased the net duma R3 and so far I'm really impressed and the software is immense so hats of to the team, especially after owning the R1 and xr500 although these are good routers the difference is night and day. i have a issue though, when i use the steady ping it don't show up on the dashboard. it just says waiting for host (playing EAFC and APEX for refence) are these games supported with steady ping? if they are would this issue be resolved by upgrading the firmware to .23? if so could i please have the download link? again hats of to the team on a mighty piece of equipment thank you
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 5 Administrators Share Posted January 5 Quite possibly it would be, I have sent it via a PM, I'd suggest a factory reset once complete. Steady Ping won't necessarily work for every game due to some limits on the games themselves I believe but it should work some of the time from what we've seen. Iilukas210
Hi again just expanding on my original post I downloaded the firmware. 23 and factory reset as advised by Fraser and re set up the router but I notice there's still some issues. 1) when I'm playing EAFC the steady ping doesn't show up its there keeps saying waiting for host and almost like it keeps refreshing, is this a case of EAFC isn't supported by steady ping or is it a bug? 2) this issue sort of similar to the first and although I have read and watched YouTube about what steady ping actually does could a dev offer a bit more in depth explanation? As my understanding is if on expert mode and you set the target ping to 50ms then your ping artificially increases to that? but what I'm finding is on the graph my base ping fluctuating between 15-20 then steady ping goes to 25 and stays in line witch I presume is what it's designed for but if so why is it not increasing to 50ms like my target ping is set at? Thank you
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 6 Administrators Share Posted January 6 Hard to say, we know it definitely works for CoD and Halo, it may work for other games but I can't say for certain as it's not always working for CoD for example That sounds more like the simple Steady Ping is doing rather than the expert, when you've changed the expert ping how do you exit it? Jazze78
I play cod on Xbox and most of the time is only say waiting for host. So its not really working for cod either.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 7 Administrators Share Posted January 7 We are aware it needs some tweaking so we'll be doing that, if you haven't already a reset after the upgrade is advised

Hi fraser thank you for the reply. 1) so would you say its seomthing for the team to look at? i understand with any new software there would be teething problems so i get it might not take a while for it to be sorted 2) usually i would go on the expert tab set my target ping then close the tab down or go back on to a diffrent menu, is there a specific way i should go about using it like an apply setting button or what not? With the general Steady Ping not working all the time for CoD yes the team will need to look into it, once we can ensure stability on that then we'll know if it's not always working for other games that that is legitimate. Try just clicking the 'X' top right of the Steady Ping panel and see if it applies then
