Geofiltering Not Working & No Tick Rate Stats (MW3)

My geofiltering is often connecting to other EU servers despite the radius being locked to UK.

I was also hoping to see server tickrate, but I cannot seem to see it when I connect to a game server.

Any help appreciated, cheers!

  • Administrators
  • Disable GeoLatency
  • Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0)
  • Enable Strict Mode
  • Disable Fast Search

Then restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game). If that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and it should work then.

Tick rate isn't something the router shows, I can make a request for it though

R2 showed the server's tick rate, I miss this option... I don't understand why it was removed from R3.

The tick rate is the refresh rate of the server, the higher it is, the better hit detection is. It would be nice to know.

This is a known bug that's being looked into. It happens to me as well (I have never been able to see tickrate or the stabilised ping graph shown a few posts above)

You won't always be able to ping a server so when you see that specifically it is likely for good reason. What firmware version are you on?

How do you have the ISP modem/router setup to allow an uninterrupted traffic flow to the R3? As that could be affecting your ability to ping

I genuinely have not checked this. I use communityfibre and have a linksys MX4200 - What setting would I need to check to make sure nothing is interrupting the R3?

On the modem/router ensure it's in modem or bridge mode or my personal favorite, copying the WAN IP from the R3 Settings > WAN page and then entering that in the DMZ on your modem. That will allow all traffic to flow directly to the R3.

I don’t think that’s accurate. Their server tick rate is like 12 or something like that. I knows it’s 20 or less definitely not in the 60’s.
