PharmDawgg Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 (edited) I ran a check for most common and troublesome internet ports just to check to see if the router would pass. Solicited TCP Packets: Passed Unsolicited Packets: Passed Ping Reply: Fail: Your system REPLIED to our Ping (ICMP Echo) requests, making it visible on the Internet. Most personal firewalls can be configured to block, drop, and ignore such ping requests in order to better hide systems from hackers. This is highly recommended since "Ping" is among the oldest and most common methods used to locate systems prior to further exploitation. Does this router have a stealth mode like the previous iterations. Just curious. Thanks. Edited December 24, 2023 by PharmDawgg Updated Nine 1
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 24, 2023 Administrators Posted December 24, 2023 No it doesn't but that's a good suggestion, will pass that onto the team!
