Proud R3 Owner
So I've mentioned this in another thread I created where I gave my first impression of the R3. This thread is exactly about the issue in the title. Every so often the LAN ports to the R3 just stop working. I don't get a "LAN cable unplugged" message so the devices still can see the connection to the router but they don't pull an IP and when setting a static IP the device still can't connect to the Internet or router. I woke up this morning to unhappy kids, lol, I took my laptop out and tried connecting directly to port 1 of the R3. The laptop was not able to pull an IP through DHCP automatically. I went ahead and gave the laptop a static IP and still could not connect to the router or the Internet. The only solution right now is to turn the router off from the button on the back and turn it back on.
DARKNESS
@XR700 OwnerI would provide a log as it helps figure out the cause or bug when it does occur here the guide Screen Recording 2023-12-23 at 11.08.38 AM.mov
Proud R3 Owner
Oh I did that yesterday, gave Fraser a log. Yeah I dunno why I thought CC was done away with since smart boost came out. I looked in the advanced settings for Ping Optimizer and there's the old QoS sliders! 😆 Good call on those. I'm also having issues with ping stabilizer not optimizing games like NBA 2k and PubG. That kinda pales in comparison to the LAN ports losing connectivity though.
DARKNESS
@XR700 OwnerI think I might know why NBA is not having the best ping/stability and that might be because it not supported looking at the DPI List in this case I would force prioritize the device under the device category and should be all good after that I don't know about PUBG as it does seem supported. Are you on console or PC? I say this because the DPI might work on one platform but not the other Ping Stabilizer is bugged at the moment it works for some users not others etc though it basically adjusting your cc based on algorithm traffic though if you dont know much anywhere around 70-80% is good for your cc. Proud R3 Owner
Yeah I get about 1000/40 so I set sliders to 70% and just set to always. Also the server is pretty far from me on PubG but it seems to be the only one near me? If that makes any sense, I'm older so I might be playing a dying game. I've had my PC set to computer and console. I think setting it to console yields better results though. Latency is high though, hitting ~80ms... DARKNESS
@XR700 OwnerYeah I mean if the server is far there ain't much you can do that just the sad reality we all wish we could live next to a data center and have no ping issues. The sweet spot is 30-40ms ideally for me personally anything above I can noticeable notice the delay that coming from top 5% global player not too brag 😂 Edited December 23, 2023 by DARKNESS
Proud R3 Owner
Well I was getting around 50-60ms on the XR700 but now it's around 60-80ms. I guess maybe ping stabilizer is working as it's saying ping stabilized on screen yet above it says couldn't ping server....so I'm not sure how that works but if I used to get 50-60 and I'm now getting 60-80 then I guess stabilizer is working? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 23, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 23, 2023 Ah didn't realise you made another topic, I responded to your previous two. You can have the ping being stabilized without it pinging so that is normal
