Geo Filter simple mode not working

Hi, Netduma R3 just arrived and I already noticed that geo filter in simple mode is not working, I’m in Italy and I set the filter in Europe and I found a game in Arabia Saudita and another one in China.
another issue is that when using the polygon mode and dumaOS is filtering right, I never get the ping of the server, it always says “couldn’t ping the server”.
R3 came out of the box with firmware 4.0.19. Any fix for these issues?
thanks!

Yesterday I tried to reboot the R3 and the game as well but it didn’t fix the issues. I’ll try again tonight.

  • You can also disable Geo-Latency which will allow you to filter exclusively like the original Geo-Filter.”

Can you please explain this? It’s not clear to me the difference between geo latency and geo filter. Is the geofilter always active when you disable geo latency?

In my case, with geo latency enabled, simple mode works better than custom mode, I would say the custom mode doesn’t work at all.

But with geo latency disabled, it works suddenly much better.

When you disable geo latency will it continue to filter inside the circle???

I tested 3 games in MW3 with geo latency disabled, it’s a small sample size, but yes, it does filter inside the circle. I even made a change to the circle during this game session, it worked.

However, with geo latency enabled, the result became inconsistent, sometimes the router shows I was connecting to a server in Los Angeles, but in reality I was connected to a local server in Europe and servers outside the circle were not denied. I have Ping Assist disabled.

Thanks for your feedback! I hope geo latency will soon get fixed

Geo-Latency is essentially a way of filtering servers by ping, everything outside your radius will have a high ping, thereby forcing servers within your radius instead. We have identified some issues with it that will be fixed. With it disabled it will be like the original version of the Geo-Filter that works by allowing everything inside the radius (location based) and exclude everything outside. The Geo-Filter will be active if you have a device added that has filtering enabled.

So for the geo latency you don’t need to choose a device and set the circle?

As above, it is enabled by default

Do you recommend using geo latency or wait for the fix? Because I noticed geo latency not always works

I've sent you a PM, see if Geo-Latency works better after that

For me, the geo filter also works only after turning off Geo latency, could I get the software?

Is it possible to deny a server directly from ping heatmap? It would be very useful instead to wait until you get that server.

No, Heatmap just pings servers that's all. We're looking into merging the Geo and Heatmap together but would take some time

Hey Frazer, I am having the same issue while playing Apex Legends. I was on servers outside of the geo-filter... I had terrible time. I was trying to play with a cpl friends but I kept getting booted, and had crazy high ping.. like 200+. My friends prob think I have no idea what I'm talking about telling them hoe good this is gonna be(r3, 0s4) I have faith in you all. lol Just wondering if I need a fix too?

I have sent you both the firmware via PM but if you're having issues after please do make a topic for yourself and we can help you more effectively.
