Spdsk8race
I can’t seem to run a Speedtest or use WiFi with the new R3 on my iPhone 14. I have already disabled every limit up and randomized ip but nothing seems to resolve this issue. Any ideas??
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 19, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 19, 2023 Speedtest on the router or 3rd party site? What do you mean you can't use the WiFi exactly?
Spdsk8race
Wifi shows connected, but phone always says no internet. Turned off private wifi and line up tracking. Attempted to delete the WiFi and device from the router, but once I get connected I will have Internet for about 15 seconds and then I get an error trying to open the app store, or opening any website. In particular the ookla speed test app seems to cause issues.
Spdsk8race
Well quick update to this: Turned off steady ping and my iPhone began connecting without any problems, along with my Google home displays finally connecting and not running into endless errors when trying to connect to the WiFi. New issues: I have turned off IPv6 and rebooted the router, but everything is still shows that they're being assigned an IPv6 address. Smart boost seems to cause issues with Google home. Steady ping causes some Google Home devices to fail over and over or not allow them to have a steady connection, maybe limiting steady ping to only assigned devices would resolve
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 19, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 19, 2023 Sorry I didn't see your previous reply. Steady Ping is just for the Geo-Filter, did you have them added as devices there? A public IPv6 address or a local one starting with Fe? If you add the devices with issues to SmartBOOST to prioritize them does that help?
Spdsk8race
Steady ping only had my Xbox list in the geo filter, with it turned on, Google Home displays, iPad and iPhone wouldn't function. Once I turned off steady ping, 15 seconds later iPhone, ipad, and Google home started working. IPv6 address are still appearing attaching photo of just my iPhone for the example but they are beginning with: Fe80, fd7b, and 2600 Tried loading the device into smart boost, but that didn't help with anything unfortunately
