BadBill_UK Posted December 26, 2023 Author Posted December 26, 2023 Well I waited few days for you to connect but never got a reply, I did see you were bombarded with requests for help. So thought you would get to me eventually but nothing. I have found 4.0.20 more stable but still not able to run ping optimiser. The Ethernet devices seem to stay connected for longer. Hope you manage to fix the bugs.
BadBill_UK Posted December 26, 2023 Author Posted December 26, 2023 And still no reply 😞 I see there is a newer firmware to 4.0.20 would that fix my problems?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 27, 2023 Administrators Posted December 27, 2023 Very sorry for the delayed response, if that happens the best thing is to just reply again and it'll show up again for me. I have sent you a new firmware via PM to see if that helps at all
Sweeper2890 Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 I am having the same issues with the R3 on my Xbox Series X. Connection keeps dropping. Please PM new firmware that has a valid signature. Never had this issue with the R2.

BadBill_UK Posted December 28, 2023 Author Posted December 28, 2023 I have installed 4.0.23 and so far it’s not dropped connection. Hoping it stays like this 👍🏻

BadBill_UK Posted January 5, 2024 Author Posted January 5, 2024 It just dropped connection again on Ethernet connected decices. Was running for 4 days fine. I checked it wasn’t isp problem by using WiFi on phone and all working ok. Tried to login to router to get logs but wouldn’t let me. Rebooted router and all working again.

BadBill_UK Posted January 6, 2024 Author Posted January 6, 2024 Couldn’t find an off setting for smart boost but I removed everything from it.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 6, 2024 Administrators Posted January 6, 2024 That menu on the SmartBOOST page, then go to settings and the enabled toggle is there
BadBill_UK Posted January 8, 2024 Author Posted January 8, 2024 Hi turned off Smartboost and still disconnected after few days 😞 I have tried moving the Ethernet devices to different ports on R3 but tried all of them now.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 8, 2024 Administrators Posted January 8, 2024 That's annoying, the team are looking into disconnects, I'll make sure your topic is listed in case they require more information
BadBill_UK Posted January 8, 2024 Author Posted January 8, 2024 Any updated firmware that might help ?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 8, 2024 Administrators Posted January 8, 2024 Not yet, firmware will come out this week though
oshookx Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 I am having the same issue. No issues when I first received my R3 and after the first month this began. Now I’m restarting my pc and my r3 just to game but not it kicks me off the internet every few minutes and I can figure out what the issue is.

Maximus Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 hi all also having this issue at present. Not exactly the same but around 1am every night BST all devices lose connection to the router and wifi drops off, When u try reconnect it reconnects to the netdumar3 but says connected with no internet access. @fraser im already on the new firmware u sent me last week for my geo filter issues (4.0.23). The wifi does come back after around 40mins without having to turn it off or reboot.

It could be the DHCP lease renewing potentially and taking too long for the connection to recover

Still kicks Ethernet devices off. Last time it happened wouldn’t let me into router to get logs.

A new firmware should be available early in the week and general fixes included in that may help with this.
