Geo Filter not filtering

Hi guys,

Having some difficulty getting my geo filter working recently. Had it set up perfectly for MWIII multiplayer. basically its as if its not recognising I am playing warzone, I load up into games and no server pings up on launch (usually the data centre in Ireland) and the games are higher ping than my previous. I managed to get it working last night briefly by rebooting the router but I don't want to have to do that every time I want to play COD.

I have tried the steps on previous posts regarding setting my device (PC) up as PlayStation etc and it has not worked unfortunately. Also noticed that the London server I usually connect to has disappeared from the ping heatmap, so I extended my filter to cover France as well but now that seems to have disappeared as well. Is this possibly a COD issue?

I have attached some images, one of when I'm searching/in-game and one of my resynced cloud ping map.

Thanks for any help!

Check the IP of your PC in your PC network settings then check on the Device Manager for the device you think is the PC, do the IPs match?

You guys are missing some servers for mw3 like Chicago and Illinois and a couple more I've seen just a heads up! If needed when I'm home ill get you guys the server ID and ips if I get a chance to!

Hi Fraser,

Yes both IPs are the same, like i say everything was fine until warzone came about. Wasnt sure if this was a problem on my end until last night when a reboot resolved it for a while.

There shouldn't be any cause for it on our side not appearing at all. I know you tried it but could you try these steps again please? (I've ammended it slightly)

  1. Quit the application/game/client completely including battle.net from the PC system tray
  2. Remove device from the Geo-Filter
  3. Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager (if on PC)
  4. Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu
  5. Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option
  6. Set up the Geo-Filter how you like
  7. Wait 2 minutes
  8. Boot up application/game/client

when loading into games nothing even pops up anymore on geo for severs or host or blocks. WZ2/MW2 no issues

Make sure you're doing the step where you exit Battle.net from the PC system tray before you make any changes as that could impact it

just tried Fraser. Still does not bring up any servers.

changed ip re did everything i still dont get servers to pop up

It looks like it is working in that it did show you the authentication server, are you not seeing anything within your radius when you're in the game playing?

yes I never see anything anymore

im in a game now and auto server never showed up

Have you put the PC in the DMZ or made a Traffic Controller rule to allow all traffic to it? Any other settings specific for this device?

im not in DMZ or any traffic

Which router is it you have exactly? What settings have you changed specifically as it seems as though it could be bypassing the router, or Ping Assist has got you a game outside your radius outside your zoomed view
