TheMW2Ghost
I did a test for my QoS and this is what it shows. Anything I should change or do? I've looked up online and here to determine what exactly QoS does, so i'm not super sure on it, but at least i would like to have mine as good as it can be. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 4, 2023 Administrators Share Posted November 4, 2023 Could you provide a completed Connection Benchmark test please? That will tell us more about what your connection is like
TheMW2Ghost
Will do it as soon as i get off this game and ill do it fresh. Over wifi or connected to ethernet? As my laptop is always wireless and never used wired. Does that mater?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 4, 2023 Administrators Share Posted November 4, 2023 It doesn't matter as the test is done at the router level so it's not impacted by the way you're connected

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 4, 2023 Administrators Share Posted November 4, 2023 Pretty good results! There is a spike on Ping Under Load for download so you could experiment with the download Congestion Control percentage whilst set to always and see if you can eliminate that
TheMW2Ghost
I ran auto setup and this is what it has set it at, so basically just reduce the slider for download percentage and keep running that test until i can eliminate/reduce the ping spike? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 5, 2023 Administrators Share Posted November 5, 2023 Yeah keep reducing the download percentage, try 10% intervals at first so go to 90% do a Connection Benchmark, reduce, test etc. When you get to a good value try 5% either side of it to see if it can be reduced anymore
TheMW2Ghost
Great will do that until i can get the ping test under load spike as low as possible. Cheers!
TheMW2Ghost
85% download and 90% upload, these were the results. I'm happy with that, unless you think i could make it even better?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 5, 2023 Administrators Share Posted November 5, 2023 I think that's probably the best you can get, it's very good! TheMW2Ghost

TheMW2Ghost
sorry, forgot to add to this: shall i keep 'always' or 'auto enable on'?

It depends whether you want it to Always apply so when you're not gaming streams/downloads work seamlessly or you just want it to apply when gaming (auto-enable)
TheMW2Ghost
I think i have done a doo-doo somewhere... I watched a guide, and it recommended to turn off IPv6 in the DumaOS - i saved - and then after 5 minutes everything that was connected to thr R2 lost network and now wont come back online - had to switch laptop over to other router to post this. ( i have re-enabled it since and saved but no luck with getting back online - is this bad?) EDIT: Did a total unplug and replug with routers and im back up. Oops - ill just leave ipv6 ticked. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 5, 2023 Administrators Share Posted November 5, 2023 By the looks of your IP IPv6 isn't required, a reboot after disabling it should get you back up and running but you can leave it enabled that's fine TheMW2Ghost
TheMW2Ghost
Yep, seems that way. Going to keep it as is. Cheers Fraser Netduma Fraser
