Hi,

Currently having trouble finding Netduma R2 on my Wifi settings on the PC.

I've connected the Netduma as shown on the user manual but still no luck.

Any idea on what I can do?

So I have a Wifi booster in my room and im connected via an ethernet cable from that but when I connect my Netduma to my modem, I dont find any Wifi signal from the Netduma on my PC.

I can try that and see if it works.

I didnt try that earlier because I watched a YT video and there was a comment that said it would not work that way as it'd have to be connected to modem.

I'll suss it out now tho and get back to ya. Thanks

Hey mate,

So I've connected the Netduma up to the PC and this time I can see it on the Wifi settings, maybe I couldnt before coz the Netduma was far away?

The Issue is that even when connected via ethernet cable, its still not connecting to my PC.

I tried adding in the password but a message comes up saying "Cant connect to this network"

Right now the modem is not connected to my Netduma thats connected to the PC via ethernet at the moment, I wont be able to get the modem to my room.

I followed the steps on the manual but doesnt seem to be working.

Possibly yes, are you attempting to connect to the WiFi while connected via ethernet? If so no need to do that, do you have access to the interface via ethernet?

So I just tried everything all again.

Netduma connected to PC via ethernet cable, Booster connected to Netduma that connects to my PC via ethernet cable & Netduma connected to modem as shown on manual.

Tried to go onto http://dumaos/ but would not load. I have a Telstra Modem if that helps.

See attached how it looks like when connected to modem.

Is it possible that the Netduma R2 is faulty?

I've done whats shown on all YT Videos and still does not seem to be working.

Unless my modem connection to the R2 has to be different then im not sure whats the problem.

If the R2 is faulty, can I send it back and get another sent out?

Thanks.

Try to access with http://192.168.77.1 instead please

It's hard to tell from the picture but the black cable is going from the R2 to the modem which is fine, but then is that grey cable connecting to the router to the modem again?

Hi,

Yeh I tried it with the link you sent but still did not work and as for the grey cable, theres actually 2 grey cables and on of them goes to the R2 and the other has to go to the modem or the wifi just disconnects and stops working even if plugged into the R2.

Okay good, while connected to the R2 via a Windows PC with ethernet, open command prompt, type ipconfig press enter and then post a screenshot of the results here please.

It doesn't look like you even have access or internet when connected to the modem is that right?

Set a static IP on the PC with the following details for your ethernet adapter

IP address: 192.168.77.100

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Default gateway: 192.168.77.1

DNS: 192.168.77.1

If you're not sure how to do this, you can check this guide: https://kb.netgear.com/27476/How-do-I-set-a-static-IP-address-in-Windows then try accessing 192.168.77.1 please and see if it works.

Hey mate,
Ended up figuring out how to get it connected. only problem is that now when I write DumaOS/ in my URL, it says "Sign in, your connection to this site is not private"

Posted

Ive reset the router and ive put the default user and pass so it now works, however, while the site loads, it says site cannot be reached.

Then under it, it says check if there is a typo in dumaos. I have been putting DumaOS/ in the URL.

Im not connected to the Netduma R2 on my PC but it is hooked up, maybe thats why. But when I put the Wifi password, It still doesnt get me connected.

Ahh well done for getting it all sorted!

If you look at the top right of the interface is should say .280 at the end, that's the latest public version
